"What do the terms Web 2.0 and Library 2.0 meant to you?"
These terms excite me so much because I see the potential for learning by utilizing these technological tools. These tools make learning tangible for students. 21st century learners are different than those in previous eras. They require, if not demand, the ability to create. If we are to touch the lives of the children we teach, we must speak in a language they understand. To some degree, we are teaching children whose first language is not English - but it is Technology. Web 2.0 is a dialect of that language. The library is the perfect place to implement and teach this language because librarians are not bogged down in the minutiae of testing, classroom management, and documentation. I can't wait to become bilingual!
